Most people who come to me feel stuck, they’ve done physical therapy., they’ve tried workouts.But pain, limitations, or uncertainty keep getting in the way.
That’s why coaching at Grow by Alu follows a clear process a step-by-step path designed to rebuild strength, confidence, and long-term resilience. I call it the Mountain Journey.
Why a Mountain?
Real change doesn’t happen overnight.
Just like climbing a mountain, progress happens step by step. Each phase builds on the previous one.
Instead of jumping straight into workouts and hoping for the best, we move through a structured progression designed to help you move better, build strength, and eventually reach the point where you no longer need coaching.
The Four Phases
Assess
Everything starts with understanding your body.
Through movement assessments and coaching sessions, we identify how your body moves, what may be limiting you, and what needs to improve.
During this phase we:
• Evaluate movement patterns
• Identify pain triggers or limitations
• Establish your starting point
• Begin education about how your body works
This is where we assess, not guess.
Develop
Once we understand your body, we begin building the foundation.
During this phase we focus on developing the strength, mobility, and control necessary to move confidently.
You’ll also begin learning how training, recovery, and lifestyle factors influence your progress.
The goal of this phase is confidence and competence.
Ascend
Now we apply everything we’ve built.
This phase is about consistent training, continued progress, and expanding what your body can do.
You’ll work toward the activities and lifestyle goals that matter most to you, while building habits that support long-term strength and resilience.
This is where momentum really builds.
Freedom
At the top of the mountain, you no longer feel limited by pain or uncertainty.
You understand your body.
You trust your movement.
You have the habits needed to stay strong.
Some clients continue training for performance or accountability.
Others simply enjoy living their lives with confidence in their bodies again.
